The main power supply capacitors in a power amp can retain a lethal charge when the amp is off. Replacing them may bring it back to life, but be very careful. If what I saw was actually your amp there should be two further fuses on each channel's amp board - take a look, I'll bet they are black. If you shorted an output transistor in one channel and there was no further protection separate to each channel, that main fuse would continue to blow each time you tried to power it up. Those can blow in one side and not the other, and the other channel will still play. I Googled an image of the inside of what's supposed to be one of these amps and a schematic, and they look like they are there. Did you replace the line fuse, and it now powers up but only one channel plays? Well designed amps also have fuses in the + and - power rails, separate ones for each channel.
